Hardcover
Many books are published as soft covers (paperback, paperback, etc.). These have a book block with a flexible cover. For reasons of cost, it is usually decided to use a soft cover. The higher quality production are books that are made as hardcover. They are more durable, more stable and the firm book cover protects your book. Often books are printed as hardcover when they are first published (new publication), and later as softcover. The book that you purchase will be produced as a hardcover and will always remain a hardcover book even with further editions.

Finishing
Partial areas of the book were refined using the hot stamping process, which creates a deeper embossing (3D effect) in these areas. Two different gold foils were used for this (gold-colored for the logo and blue for the title and subtitle). This type of finishing enhances your book visually. Furthermore, a special paper was used for the cover (FSC-certified), which makes the surface appear rougher. In this way, the book stands out from the smooth standard surfaces of other books and creates a pleasant feel.

High quality thread stitching (type of binding)
Simple gluing of the book pages is often chosen as the type of binding. You can usually tell by the fact that the book doesn't lie flat when you open it. The perfect binding is usually chosen for inexpensive books. It is different with thread stitching, in which the pages are sewn into a book block, which guarantees a higher load capacity and higher durability than with pure gluing. With thread stitching, the book stays in place better when you open it. The thread stitching is the most stable and, in terms of quality, the highest quality technology in the bookbinding process and is only used for high-quality books.

120g Paper
The inside pages of the book are made of strong, matt paper with a grammage of 120g. So you can safely write down your notes with different types of pens.

Colored ribbon bookmark
The bookmark ribbon (not to be confused with the headband) is a narrow strip of fabric that is attached to the top of the book block and that is placed between the book pages. It is used so that you always know exactly which page you read last. So that the ribbon bookmark also matches the modern and colorful design of the book, it is highlighted in color.

Colored headband
When printing as a hardcover with thread stitching, there is a gap between the book block and the spine of the book. To close this gap, a headband is worked into the upper and lower edge of the book spine and visually enhances the book. The headband provides additional protection against dust between the book block and the spine. The headband is also colored to match the book.

Sustainable printing
During production, emphasis was placed on the use of sustainable materials. The paper used is FSC-approved, which means that strict criteria must be met. So z. B. be certified forest companies and meet the requirements of the FSC principles, such as adapted wild stocks, gentle and sustainable timber harvest, no toxins in the forest, branches and crowns remain in the forest, which forms humus so that mushrooms, insects etc. have a healthy basis , Cultivation of predominantly native tree species, compliance with occupational health and safety, provision of nature conservation areas so that nature can develop. To ensure that this is observed, regular checks are carried out at the forestry operations. This ensures that the raw material from which the paper for the book is ultimately made comes from sustainable forestry.
